At AGS, our priorities and passion are sustainability and the circular economy as they intersect with our specific areas of focus: clean and sustainable energy, mobility and transportation infrastructure, food and water security, waste management & recycling, and efficient buildings/building technology. Taking climate action and building resilience to climate change the damage caused to the environment goes hand-in-hand with integrating sustainability and closed loop systems in the circular economy.
Clean and Sustainable Energy
We see working in clean and sustainable energy as critical for climate action. Broad adoption of renewable energy is a vital component of climate mitigation efforts. Our core activities are around Hydrogen, CCUS, green hydrogen generation (electrolysis and waste to energy plants), and alternative sustainable fuels.
Green hydrogen
We need to embrace and expand the onsite generation of green hydrogen away from the carbon-emitting SMR and pyrolysis processes that create hydrogen today. Utilising cutting edge technologies that process solid waste without emitting carbon dioxide is the perfect solution.

Mobility and Transportation Infrastructure
The global shift to decarbonize our world from fossil fuel-based economies to major reliance on clean fuels in power generation and transportation has begun. This energy transition is inevitable, and hydrogen is an integral enabler of the process and a core source in the energy transition.
Mobility
Decarbonising the transport sector is a necessity. The adoption of zero-carbon vehicles facilitates this transition. Hydrogen fuelled Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEVs) are zero-exhaust emission, producing only water.
Infrastructure
As the energy mix is increasing with renewables, hydrogen plays a vital role in the storage of renewable energy. Building a hydrogen mobility and infrastructure roadmap requires connecting hydrogen production sources and utilisation routes – this includes integrating hydrogen refuelling stations and distribution to meet the mobility demand.
Food and Water Security
We need to build a sustainable food system where the growing, eating, and disposal of food creates net benefits for the economy, people, and the environment. Key circular objectives are that: food is produced in ways that regenerate nature, food is not lost or wasted, and commonly wasted resources are used productively.

Waste Management and Recycling
In the circular economy, waste is transformed from an environmental burden into an economic resource through optimised material flows. As part of a suite of solutions, implementing extended producer responsibility (EPR) regulations and standards is a critical component of circular economies.
Resource Efficient Buildings and Technology
The efficiency of our built environment is essential to sustainability around energy and water resource usage, and for the economy at large. We develop energy and water efficiency projects for commercial buildings, shopping malls, hotels and the like. We help owners achieve their financial, operational, and environmental goals. Our building and facilities management solutions include energy audits, building retrofits, energy management and retrofitting, demand side management (DSM), and other ancillary services.
